This marks an opportunity for us to work in closer collaboration with the industry. The mission is to continue rolling out exciting new product features that help you grow your businesses.
As part of the Hey You Board, these industry veterans will meet with our Hey You team regularly to discuss the biggest challenges facing the industry. Together we work out how Hey You can help using our tech platform to benefit and improve the industry.

Ali Akl - CEO AMA Hospitality

Ali is a familiar face within the cafe industry and manages multiple cafes in prestigious locations across busy business districts. His Toby’s Estate franchise venues are among the best in Australia.

In order to meet the challenges ahead, Ali’s advice to fellow industry professionals was to stay ahead of the curve. He further added, “In a local market saturated with offers, we need to be fast on our feet with the introduction of innovation”

In his free time, Ali likes to fish and spend quality time with his kids.

Justin Ng - CEO Ipoh Town

Justin comes from a very strong finance background and leverages that background to provide quality Malaysian food at affordable prices in good locations around Sydney CBD.

Justin’s advice to face the challenges ahead was to continue to adapt. He says, “We will be continually thrown challenges and it's those leaders that can pivot, that will not only survive but thrive!”

In his free time which is rare these days, he likes to eat and exercise.

Amy Le - Owner The Naked Duck

Amy owns the Naked Duck chain that has multiple branches across the city. Amy has pioneered an amazingly unique experience by combining a modern Australian menu with a Vietnamese twist.

Her advice was to “Be resilient, good times come and go but the businesses who persist and do not give up are the ones that survive! This is definitely a challenging time but we are going to bounce back”

During her free time, Amy likes to read books.

Vincent Marliere - Group Operations Manager AMA Hospitality

Vincent is the Group Operations Manager of the AMA hospitality group and is instrumental in driving the success of multiple venues around Australia. Having worked in hospitality for many years Vincent understands the industry inside and out and loves to utilise technology in his operations.

Vincent understands how important our industry is to the communities we serve, he said “Coffee, like wine brings people together and it seems that it has always been there, it is such an essential part of many people’s lives and Australia is one of the best places to experience it at its pinnacle.”

Vincent loves the outdoors, travelling and spending time with friends.
